Hey friends,
I had this on my heart tonight and wanted to post it because I felt like someone needed it. Here it goes!
God’s timing and track record is perfect every single time. I know sometimes it doesn’t seem that way, like you’ve missed your boarding time for a train all your friends are already on, but let me assure you that you are right on time. Have you even looked down at your ticket? Are you even supposed to be boarding that train at all? God may have a completely different train in store for you that is going to take you to a destination more perfect and in alignment with your purpose beyond your imagination.
You see there is nothing that you can say or do that can get in the way of God’s divine plan for your life. It’s a hard pill to swallow because we live in a very “make it happen” culture. If you’re anything like me, you may catch yourself trying so hard to do a job only God can do. While having a hardworking spirit helps, (you know the saying, faith without works is dead) it is not by strength or by might that you will accomplish the many and beautiful things God called you to do in this life. But it will be by His Spirit.
6 So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.
(Zechariah 4:6 NIV)
So whatever it is He called you to be—a healer, storyteller, mother, policy changer—try not to lose sight of the vision. He called you and specifically you to bring back light in places that seem too dark for even a flicker. Don’t take that lightly. It may not seem like it now, but you’re on the right track and you must keep going.
You do not need to have everything figured out just yet. You are going to be okay. You will step into the place God has called you to all those seasons ago because all along, even when you didn’t know it, He has been equipping you for your victory. Stay the course and remember you are blessed, brilliant, and beautiful.
“For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.”
Habakkuk 2:3 AMP
